Building a Valuable Online Presence
Gluster approached us with a task of building an online community portal for their developers. The foundation of the idea was to add value through developer interaction and increase access to information through a community maintained knowledge base. We responded with a modern, professional community portal that added real value to the company.
Results
Gluster was acquired in Oct. 2011 by Red Hat for $136 million. We continue to maintain their online presence and collaborate on projects with the Gluster and Red Hat teams.
Clean WordPress Redesign
Druva is a leader in enterprise laptop backup. They approached us to redesign their online presence with a look and feel inline with their target market.
Results
We created several unique layouts that gave each Druva page a “landing page” effect, which led to increased conversions, pages per visit and time on site. Druva is rapidly expanding internationally and we’re pleased to be a part of their ongoing growth.
WordPress Microsite
OpenTappiness is a microsite spoofing Coke’s Dasani bottled water and their new marketing slogan “Open Happiness”. Corporate Accountability International asked us to help create an engaging WordPress microsite that would allow users to create a new marketing slogan for Dasani and render the text on the fly to an image of a billboard outside Coke’s headquarters in Atlanta.
Results
We used a customized WordPress theme, integrated with the GD image library for PHP to allow for both instant user gratification and admin moderation of new slogans. The site received hundreds of submissions on it’s first day and continues to generate more buzz through hooks to social networks like Twitter and Facebook.
Ultimate Mom Site
PlayPlanit asked us to create a fun, engaging way for San Francisco Bay Area Moms to be able to find activities appropriate for them and their kids. We designed and developed a custom Ruby on Rails solution that focused on being able to easily and immediately see relevant, fun events in the area through sleek filters.
Results
We used a Facebook API to allow users to easily join the site, leading to a sizable user-base soon after launch. The site now features tens of thousand of events, from swim lessons to music classes to fairs & festivals, making PlayPlanit.com San Francisco’s one-stop shop for family events.
TCI Blog
TCI’s blog was suffering from an outdated platform, buggy behavior and time consuming updates. We proposed a fresh WordPress installation that would integrate with their existing login API. The result was a more robust, simple tool that has empowered staff to publish creative content unique to TCI.
